Mentor YMHA Course
This course is for the Youth Mental Health Academy Mentors.
What is included in this program?
A hands-on monthly mentor-led curriculum to help students learn about mental health. Mentorship pods will facilitate growth and support for a mutual learning journey.
A discussion group for mentors to initiate and participate in mediated and monitored discussions about issues of interest or concern.
Slide decks, exercises, games, and resources to enhance your learning.
Monthly college workshops to assist with personal statements, applications, resume building and more
After attending the YMHA, mentors will have a fundamental understanding of how our environment and brains influence our mental health. They will gain access to helpful tools and resources, be part of a growing mentoring network and be introduced to a mentor council for additional support. As the 2023-2024 year continues, mentors will work remotely with mentee pods each month.
